Jute Short composition
Introduction:
Bangladesh is the real home of jute. It is the main cash- crop of Bangladesh.
Jute plays an important role in her national economy.
What it is: Jute is the fiber of jute plants. The plants grow
eight to nine feet high.
Where grown:
Jute grows well in a warm and moist climate. The soil and the climate of
Bangladesh are especially suitable for the cultivation of jute. But now jute is
grown other countries of the world such as India, China etc.
Process of cultivation: Farmers
plough the land well. Then seeds are sown in the months of ‘Falgoon’ and
‘Chaitra’. Small plants grow in few days.
The field is weeded when the plants are in one foot long. In three or four
months the plants are matured. Then they are cut down and the stalks are made
into bundles .The is then put into water to rot. The fiber is then taken off,
washed in water and dried in the sun. Then it is made ready for sale.
Usefulness:
Jute is put to many Uses. Ropes, gunny bags, cloths, mats etc are made of jute.
Carpets and warm clothes are made of jute. Paper and hard- boards are also made
of jute. The stalks are used as fuel and fencing.
Abuses:
Jute cultivations are not payment of their demand. So our Government should
take proper measures.
Conclusion:
Jute is our national wealth so that the nation should be benefited by ill. By
selling jute to foreign countries we earn a lot of foreign currency. So we
called it “Golden fiber.”
