Victory Day

The victory day means the winning day of the Bangladeshis in the liberation war of Bangladesh. The sixteenth of December is a red-letter day in the history of Bangladesh. On this day in 1971 , the brute Pakistani soldiers surrendered to the freedom fighters of Bangladesh. Since then we observe the day as the victory day in a befitting manner every year. The victory day is a government holiday. We observe the day in a befitting manner. The national flag is hosted on all buildings early in the morning. The parade of Army, BDR, Ansars, Police etc. is held in all important places of the whole country. Different sports and games are held throughout the country. Seminars and cultural functions are held by various organizations. The important buildings and private houses are illuminated after dusk. The victory day is a very important day in our national life. We should remember the memory of the freedom fighters who sacrifice their lives for the establishment of the independent Bangladesh. We also should work hard for the welfare of the people of our country.
